Photos from your phone upload the first time
You can attach a photo or video picked in the Android app without the read error, including camera photos the composer used to refuse every single time.
What changed
- The Android app hands the page its own copy of whatever you picked, so reads no longer fail at random
- Phone photos with an unusual header are accepted instead of failing the upload
- Files that are genuinely cut short or corrupt are still refused, with a clear message
How to use it
Update to the latest Android app, open the composer and tap to add media, then pick a photo or video from your gallery as usual. The app now keeps its own copy of what you picked, so an upload no longer fails with a read error depending on timing, and a long video keeps uploading while the app is open. Separately, some phone photos were refused with a server error every time because of a quirk in how the camera writes the file. Those now upload, resize and publish normally, including on cross-posts and on images your AI assistant sends by link.
Who gets it
Everyone, on every plan. The picker change ships in Android app 1.1.2.
