Scheduled posts go out once, even on a bad connection
You can trust that a scheduled post, its Auto Plug comment and its repost each fire exactly once instead of appearing twice.
What changed
- Each scheduled post is claimed by one publishing run, so retries cannot post it again
- Auto Plug comments, Auto Reposts and saved receipts now run as their own tracked follow-up steps
- A post that fails part way through resumes at the step it stopped on
How to use it
Nothing changes in how you schedule. Pick a time in the calendar and add an Auto Plug comment or an Auto Repost as usual. Behind the scenes each piece of work is now claimed before it runs, so if the connection drops or our publisher retries, the post is not sent a second time and the follow-up comment is not duplicated. Open any past item in the calendar to see the steps that ran and the time each one completed, which makes it obvious whether a comment or repost still needs to go out.
