Sign-up tells you when your password is the problem

If your password is too weak or has appeared in a known breach, you are told so on the spot and can keep using the code you were sent.

What changed

  • A rejected password is named, with the reason, instead of a general failure
  • Your emailed code is handed back so you can finish with the same one
  • A duplicate account and other failures behave as before

How to use it

Create an account with an emailed code and pick a password Threadify accepts but our sign-in provider refuses, and you used to see a general failure after the code had already been used. Retrying then said the code was invalid and nothing ever told you the password was the problem. Now the page says the password was rejected and why, your code is restored, and you can pick a stronger one and carry on with the same email in hand.

Who gets it

Everyone creating an account.
