Connecting a new brand no longer grabs an account you already use
You can connect Threads to a new brand knowing that if the wrong account comes back, Threadify stops, says which one it was, and leaves both brands untouched.
What changed
- A connect or reconnect that returns the wrong account is now refused before anything is saved: one already in another of your brands, or a different account than the brand already holds.
- The message names the account that came back and where it already belongs.
- It also says how to fix it: log out of Threads and sign back in as the right account, create a new brand to keep both, or open a ticket on the Support page to swap the account in a brand.
How to use it
Open the brand you want to connect and choose Threads Connect. Threads signs in whichever account that browser is already logged in to, so it can hand back an account that lives in another of your brands. Threadify now stops before saving anything and tells you which account came back and where it already sits. From there you can log out of Threads in that browser and try again as the right account, create a new brand so you can keep both accounts, or open a ticket from the Support page if the same brand needs a different account. Cancelling the Threads screen is now explained in plain words instead of a code.
