Composing & repliesOctober 2026
Drag or paste a video straight onto a post
You can now drop or paste a video onto a post and watch it upload, instead of it vanishing without a word.
What changed
- Dropped and pasted videos now upload exactly as the upload button does.
- The drop highlight only appears where an upload is actually possible.
- A video dropped on a later post tells you videos belong on the first post.
How to use it
Open a draft in the composer and drag a video file onto the post you want it on, or copy a video and paste it straight in. It uploads as if you had used the upload button, with the same progress and the same rules. Video goes on the first post of a thread, and if you drop one on a later post you are told why rather than left wondering. Images behave as before. Where the upload control is hidden or switched off, a drop no longer pretends it will work.
Who gets it
All plans: Creator $19, Founder $99 and Operator $199.
