YouTube transcripts that read the way the video was spoken
You can now save a YouTube transcript without words repeating on every line, and replace one that came out wrong without saving the video again.
What changed
- Rolling captions are merged, so a 984-word talk saves as 984 words, not 2,830.
- Replace transcript lets you paste a corrected version onto a saved item.
- Extract still saves straight away, and a failed read retries instead of re-buying the transcript.
How to use it
Paste a YouTube link into the Vault and hit Extract. It saves immediately, as it always did, but the repeated words that automatic captions produce are now merged, so the text reads the way the video was spoken. If a transcript still comes out wrong, open the saved item and choose Replace transcript, then paste a corrected version. Only that item changes. The link, the title and the brand stay exactly as they are, and other people's saved copies are untouched.
Who gets it
All plans: Creator $19, Founder $99 and Operator $199.
